Construction/Features: The jeans supposedly have Aramid (kevlar) enforced knees, and I checked and they sure do. The reinforced knee section wraps around the outer leg and hangs low enough that it covers your knees when you are in a crouch position (most sport bike riding styles). They do not provide any extra padding whatsoever – it is strictly for road rash protection. Also there is no way to insert knee-pads – you’ll have to wear them over or under the jeans. To their credit though they have enough space that you could easily fit knee pads under them. The sides start at the top of the hip and run to down to just above the knee. The sides are not Aramid, but they are double-layer denim. I would describe the overall thickness of the denim “a little thicker than usual” but not super heavy duty. Construction is a 8/10.
